I have had this model since September 2006 and it still works great! It is a lot of money, but it is well worth the money spent---I'm in graduate school working on my doctorate and would purchase a new one if I had to, which I think says a lot since I still have 3 more years of school before I get a real job! I would highly recommend this to anyone!!!

I have tried so many flat irons before including the $20 ones all the way to the $300 one. This FHI iron is definitely one of my favorite. It gives me moisture and silkiness to my hair. I can't stop using it once I start using it.

OMG I'm in love with this iron!!! I have had many flat irons and this one is the best hands down! I have very thick kinky hair and this straightens with ease. I always wanted to achieve the silkiness and straightness that my stylist does but could not find the right iron. Additionally, she wouldn't let me see hers so I could keep coming back. However, I've found what I have been looking for in this iron. I highly recommend this iron for all who want to be able to control their own temperature, create many styles, and get salon hair.

OMG!!!!the best flat iron ever!!! It's much better than my chi because my chi tends to snag my hair...this one...absolutely NOOOO snagging! It heats up fast and I love the option of being able to adjust the temperature. The plates are sooo smooth which glide easily through my coarse relaxed hair. This iron is very worth investing in!

this flat iron is pretty good, however i was expecting much better. after all the hype about how it leaves your hair super smooth and frizz free, i still end up with frizzy fly aways sometimes. the key, however, is to make sure the heat temperature is right for your hair. for example, my hair is over processed, so i go for about 300. if its to low for you, you end up with frizzy hair you have to go over t over. but if its too high, you burn your hair and its stiff and nasty. it takes a little longer for me to straighten my hair with the fhi than the ghd, but i think the fhi does less damage. thats the really good thing that it never gives my split ends or fries my hair (unless its really really too hot). overall, i actually prefer my ghd, but they're so expensive and my fhi was only about $99. bottom line: i would recommend it.

I LOVED this flat iron. As others have mentioned, it really does beat out the CHI - hands down! The CHI has no temperature control - so your hair gets blasted with its full heating potential. And frankly, that's not always a good thing for everyone. I have long hair that has been both relaxed AND color treated. Somehow, this flat iron has one of the SMOOTHEST surfaces I've seen on ANY flat iron, so it just glides through hair, AND leaves it feeling soft and silky. It's almost like it somehow infuses a bit of moisture into your hair with each use, because it never leaves it dry or dull.
I recently purchased yet another flat iron (of a different brand), that my stylist recommended as one that she absolutely LOVED. I swear, I could tell a difference before I even used it when I ran my hand across the plates after taking it out of its box. MUCH rougher feeling. I will be returning that iron and sticking with my beloved FHI instead. One of the BEST on African American hair!

LOVE my iron! I have fine,relaxed African American hair (4a,b type) and have received numerous compliments on my hair since getting this a couple of weeks ago. My hair is super straight and it has more life and a bounce that I didn't have before.

So far so good. I bought this flat iron a couple weeks ago and tried it out a few times and so far I'm loving it. It heats up in seconds, retains the selected temp setting and straightens really well from roots to ends.

I just got my new FHI 207 flat iron for my daughter's hair which is very course we have always used the CHI now that I have FHI I will tell all my friends how well it works on black hair it makes it smooth and silky what a great product.

I just got my FHI recently, and I must say that this is the best flat iron I've ever used. My hair is relaxed, and I don't use a flat iron often, but this is a staple. My hair is so sleek, shiny, silky, and has such great movement. I don't even recognize my hair. I love these results. Definitely a great product. I would recommend this product to anyone.

I bought this iron one year ago from this site and I love it. It leaves my hair straight, without frizz and smooth for days even if my hair get wet a little bit. I like it because it doesn't damage my hair and my curls remains intact after I wash my hair. I really recommend this Iron.

I just got my FHI in the mail today from your company. I had gone to get my hair done a couple weeks ago and the stylist used a flat iron from a different manufacturer. I didnt want to pay $150 but she said try FHI because I could get the same results and they are reasonably priced. I looked it up and chose the 207 because of the temperature control. I have only used it once since I got it today but I was totally amazed. I had been outside riding my bike in the heat so my hair was very frizzy and curly. It took me only 25 minutes to do my hair and I have the same results that I had when I went to the stylist. I would recommend FHI to everyone.

I am so happy with my new FHI iron. It straightens my hair immediately, and keeps it straight until I wash it. I really like that it has a temperature dial as well, since I have had trouble in the past keeping my my naturally curly hair straight throughout the day. This iron is sooooooo much better than the CHI irons (I had 3 that broke after 1 year each) and GHB irons. This iron should have a selection for an "Excellent" rating. Thanks!

This iron is excellent!! It allows me to go up to 11 weeks between relaxers! I use it weekly after washing and blow drying on small sections of my hair, and the results are smooth and silky. It also works great for making curls that last for days! The temperature control is a great feature because with thin hair I don't need it at 450 degrees. Prior to blow drying, I would recommend using a heat protectant serum on the damp hair. I love my FHI!!

I brought my FHI from here though my frined had this iron and i loved it !!! soo i said ok I'll get one i love this iron i love the heat control on it,it really comes in handy i have fine relaxed hair and this is a really good iron i had conair it broke so i wanted somethig that i knew was going to last !

This iron is so great! It takes my hair from frizzy to bone straight with one swipe. My hair stays straight and soft for DAYS, until I wash it again. The plates don't snag my hair and I love the fast heat up time, I can't believe it gets so hot so fast! The Fhi is worth every penny!
