Herpes is a virus that is afflicting the world for hundreds of years. I say plaguing because like AIDS, there is no cure for herpes. This virus is generally transmitted through sexual activity. Herpes is a hard virus to research (i.e. finding a cure for herpes), due to its dormant nature. The herpes simplex virus manifests in the form of outbreaks.

Herpes manifests in an outbreak of tiny vessicles manily around the pubic region which later turn into open lesions. After an outbreak the herpes virus backtracks to the nerve endings and hides, making it difficult to treat or to find a cure.

Herpes Cure Studies

Although there is not currently a herpes cure available, there are presciption drugs that can suppress the herpes virus and also natural creams and lotions that will kill the virus on contact

The mere fact that herpes is a virus is what makes it difficult to find a herpes cure. Normally your body's immune system will deal with and destroy any viruses it finds but that fact that the herpes virus hides itself so well in the nerves when in the dormant phase makes finding a cure for herpes a more difficult task.

Herpes Cure Remedies

Although there is no herpes cure, the herpes outbreaks can be suppressed with some of the anti-viral mediactions available. There is also not a vaccine that can effect a cure for the herpes virus.

Being careful cannot cure herpes, but...

When considering this situation one must remember that there are preventative measures that people can use as to not come into contact with this virus. During any sexual activity, one must make sure that protection is used. This is not 100% safe, but it greatly reduces the chance of becoming infected.

Also oral sex is another major source of herpes infection. Oral infections on the inside of the mouth are occurring more and more every day. So when any oral sexual activity is being considered one must also use some form of protection as well. Again, the protection is not a herpes cure but it just reduces the risk of becoming infected.

Chastity is the only way to not get infected from any form of sexual intercourse.
